ECP1382 Los Lobos at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, SF, 10/2/26 The veteran East Los Angeles band Los Lobos formed in 1973. They began playing high energy covers of traditional Mexican folk music, and evolved through the years into an adventurous genre-crossing roots-rock band. Now, they boast a large catalog of original songs and spirited, inventive reimaginings of other artists' material. On stage, they can play just about any style of music they choose, with warm vocals, storytelling lyrics, and a powerful, infectious groove. We caught their set at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, a unique, free-of-charge held every October in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
