At the same time, I kept looking backward at my mistakes, regrets, and things I wish I could change. But I realized I was giving yesterday and other people's opinions too much power over the life God has given me today. I can't change the past. I can't control what everyone thinks about me. But I can choose what kind of man, father, partner, and follower of God I am today. This song is about giving those burdens to God, living by His Word, loving my family for who they are, being present for the people who need me, and trusting God with everything I can't control. Yesterday is over. Tomorrow is in God's hands.
