What's roaming 8 | Gula Gula Food forest | Wildlife #cameratrap

🐾 Wildlife Camera Trap Highlights | Gula Gula Food Forest Program | West Sumatra, Indonesia (July-October 2026) 🌿 The forest is full of life, even when we can't see it! In this new episode of What's Roaming?, our camera traps take us on another little journey into the hidden world of Sumatra's wildlife. A tiger, a muntjac, a porcupine, a mouse-deer: they all came to visit us. These wonderful encounters are made possible by camera traps placed throughout our monitoring areas. We use these cameras to observe wildlife without disturbing it. Some animals are rarely seen by people, but our cameras give us a chance to discover who is passing through, when they're active and how they use the landscape. Over time, these observations help us build a better picture of local biodiversity. And that's a huge bonus of our Gula Gula Food Forest Program in West Sumatra. Together with local farmers, we're restoring degraded land through regenerative agroforestry, growing diverse food forests that provide income for farming families while supporting biodiversity and wildlife habitats. Forest restoration takes time, and a camera-trap sighting alone doesn't tell us whether an ecosystem is recovering. But every recording adds another piece to the puzzle and helps us understand the wildlife sharing these landscapes with us. 💚 So sit back, enjoy these little moments from the forest, and see who's been roaming! #WhatsRoaming #GulaGula #SumatraWildlife #CameraTraps #BiodiversityMonitoring #Agroforestry #ForestRestoration #WildlifeConservation
