Rock Hunt Uncovers Ancient Native American Artifacts | Ohio River History (Ambient Hunt)

Welcome to Creation Cleanse! Today started as a normal rockhounding adventure but we ended up discovering and exploring a unique historical beach right along the beautiful Ohio River near the Appalachian foothills close to Portsmouth, Ohio near the 'Warrior's Path'. Low water levels left an ancient flintknapping workshop site completely exposed, and we are stepping out for a truly peaceful, quiet rock hunt to find flint flakes everywhere, debitage, artifacts, and tools! Walk along with us as we listen to the lovely sounds of nature- from birds singing to the gentle river waves lapping. Together, we will uncover ancient flint flakes, tools, a broken projectile point tip, a unique natural concretion paint cup, and an amazing stone celt artifact. We take a quick trip up to Fort Ancient Earthworks to look inside a reconstructed Hopewell dwelling and check out a dugout canoe.
