Nakoh 92GX Review Part 1: A Quintuplet Petzval from Japan

The Nakoh 92GX is a 92mm f/6.5 Quintuplet Petzval APO telescope from Japan, and in this Part 1 review I go through the specifications, the hardware and a complete imaging build: camera, filter wheel, filters, guide scope, guide camera and electronic focuser. According to Nakoh, the 92GX gives a flat field across a 55mm image circle without an extra field flattener, using one Japan-made SD element and one ED element. In Part 2, I put that to the test under the stars from my home observatory at 63° North in Sweden: mount, N.I.N.A. configuration, star quality and corner performance. ⏱️CHAPTERS 00:00:00 Quintuplet Petzval from Japan 00:00:39 Welcome to 63 degrees north 00:01:38 What you get and telescope case 00:02:55 Visual or astrophotography use 00:06:13 Mounting the losmandy dovetail 00:07:18 Nakoh 92GX Specifications 00:12:02 Mount the ZWO EAFN 00:17:10 Camera, filter wheel and filter 00:19:27 Mount the Player One Poseidon-C Pro 00:23:08 Astrophotography setup and focus range 00:25:01 Evoguide 50 ED and scope rings 00:26:20 Player One Sedna-M guide camera 00:28:36 Let’s connect everything 00:30:55 Thoughts and what’s in part 2 00:31:51 Ending 🚀 SUPPORT THIS CHANNEL Buy me a coffee if you like my videos: https://buymeacoffee.com/frosthastro My tool for titles, SEO and video ideas: vidIQ: https://vidiq.com/frosthastro My preferred music service for videos: Uppbeat https://share.uppbeat.io/kzmc63vza78c 🌌 ABOUT THIS CHANNEL I'm Mårten, an astrophotographer imaging the deep sky from my home observatory in northern Sweden at 63° north.
