The composition "Intermezzo" by Ukrainian composer Nyzhankivskyi Moderato in D Minor 00:04 is written in three parts with a recitative theme, emphasized by dotted rhythm and dynamic, culminating middle, expressive arpeggio, and octave cadences, which cover the whole range of the piano. Remarks agitato and accelerando lead to the culminating melodic performance: in a combination of minor and minor minor bases from chordal figurations there is a recitative theme of thirds underlined by tenuto, which together with the left-hand forms a descending cascade of triols, culminating in a reprise in B Flat Minor. The last performance of the theme with the remark energico accelerando sounds expressive, fading in the full-sounding chord texture of the piano. There was also an Ancient Ukrainian song Andantino ma cantabile in E Minor 2:36 with a melodic line in thirds and sixths traditional in Ukrainian chants. The theme is separated by caesuras, which indicate its vocal nature, as well as a full-sounding and expressive left hand of a wide range.
