This week we look at how Stephen uses climbing plants throughout his garden to add interest at different seasons, to use an unusual plant instead of a predictable one, or just to utilise space to it's maximum capacity for variety! We'll look at evergreen climbers grown through deciduous trees, deciduous self clingers grown through evergreen trees, winter flowering and summer flowering herbaceous climbers grown though hedges, and two climbers grown in the same location which flower at opposite seasons! Clever gardening using every space as an opportunity! The plants we look at in this video are: Semele androgyna, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Bomarea salsilla, Heteropterys angustifolia or Heteropterys Glabra, Tropaeolum tricolor, Clematis napaulensis, Lonicera hildebrandiana and Clematis cirrhosa 'Freckles'.
