ACR | 0.6 | Peugeot 206 WRC - Monte Carlo - St. Geniez - Sisteron | TV & Onboard | 4K

After testing the Peugeot 206 WRC on gravel in Greece, it was time to find out how one of my favorite additions from Assetto Corsa Rally v0.6 behaves on tarmac. While my other recent v0.6 tests focused heavily on tarmac, the 206 had so far mostly shown me what it could do on the loose surface of Greece. For this run I took it to Monte Carlo, attacking St. Geniez - Sisteron with both TV Replay and onboard footage. And the result? I'm even more impressed with this car. 🇲🇨 Peugeot 206 WRC on Tarmac The 206 already impressed me in Greece with how lively and entertaining it was, but tarmac revealed another side of the car. The amount of grip immediately stood out. Once I started building confidence, the Peugeot seemed to grab the road and pull itself through the corners, allowing me to attack harder and carry more speed. The lively character I enjoyed on gravel is still there, but on tarmac it's combined with a level of grip that makes the car extremely satisfying to push. 🔥 Right Up There With the Polo GTI R5 The biggest compliment I can give the 206 is that its tarmac behavior impressed me on par with the VW Polo GTI R5. The Polo was probably my biggest surprise from the v0.6 additions. Even in negative temperatures and initially on cold tires, it produced impressive grip and became increasingly enjoyable as I pushed harder. The Peugeot gives me a similar level of confidence, although with its own character. It feels like the car is constantly encouraging me to attack. Give it a direction, commit to the corner and it simply grabs and pulls the road underneath it. That's exactly the feeling I want from a car when hard-charging through a tarmac rally stage. 🚀 From Greece Gravel to Monte Carlo Tarmac This was exactly why I wanted another proper test of the 206. My Greece run showed me that it's a lively, entertaining car on gravel. Taking it onto Monte Carlo tarmac showed that it isn't limited to being fun on loose surfaces. If anything, I may like it even more here. There's plenty more testing to do before forming any final conclusions about the v0.6 cars, but the Peugeot is quickly becoming one of the additions I want to keep coming back to. 🏁 Conclusion My first proper tarmac test of the Peugeot 206 WRC has made me like this car even more. On Greece gravel it felt lively, energetic and incredibly entertaining. On the tarmac of St. Geniez - Sisteron, that character is joined by an impressive amount of grip. When you start pushing, the 206 just seems to grab the surface and pull the road underneath it. After being so impressed by the VW Polo GTI R5 during my previous Monte Carlo test, I wasn't expecting the 206 to immediately give me a similarly positive feeling on tarmac. But it did. Polo GTI R5 or Peugeot 206 WRC? Right now, that's becoming a much harder choice than I expected. The 206 is quickly turning into one of my favorite cars from ACR v0.6.
