Performances also resist the commodification of art and reject institutional systems. It is an art form that actively avoids commercialization. However, as the economic reality in which these works are created changes, so does performance art. When it comes to the buying and selling of performance art, the first name that comes to mind is Marina Abramovic! A Serbian performance artist born in Belgrade and my former idol! I made this video out of the admiration I once felt for her. We explore the artist's performances from different periods, the Marina Abramovic Institute she founded, and the skincare products she launched in 2024. 📣 SOURCES/KAYNAKLAR Eleanor Skimin, “Reproducing the White Bourgeois: The Sitting-Room Drama of Marina Abramović,” 2018 Nicholas Brown, “Introduction,” in On Art and the Commodity Form, ed.
