First GB Logistics Turnkey Warehouse Fit-Out | Oakway

How do you bring two warehouse operations together without sacrificing storage capacity? For First GB Logistics, Oakway delivered a complete warehouse and office fit-out, consolidating two sites into one facility designed for efficient day-to-day operations and future growth. The project created 5,700 pallet locations in a very narrow aisle (VNA) layout, making full use of the warehouse’s 8.5-metre clear height. A two-tier mezzanine added 552 m² of office and welfare space while preserving valuable ground-floor space for warehouse operations. From racking, safety systems and workshop facilities to fire protection, mechanical and electrical services, Oakway managed the project from coordinated design through to delivery and handover as principal contractor. The result: 6.6% more usable floor space, a consolidated operation and electricity savings of more than £13,000 per month from solar panels and energy-efficient lighting.
