Seek out the REPL_Y. "INTRO: REPL_Y" samples Kraftwerk's iconic "Trans-Europe Express" and Cybotron's "R-9". Kraftwerk's work was my main inspiration for the soundscape and visual aesthetic of this project, combined with newer artists like ev.exi and TAK. It's loud, it's sharp, it's retro, it's future. "TTYL" was a remix that came pretty quickly. The original intention was to create a new feel for the chorus melody by changing its notes, which is better reflected with the original mix I had which was in a different key. This version can be found in the DL Folder. Choppy synths and fills over a stable kick bass pattern can be heard throughout. "SPILL IT OUT" continues with the pace set by TTYL, embracing an abrasive '90s House feel. A departure from the original's sleek trap production. "NEWTOPIA" starts with a bouncy Future Bass groove before evolving into a Future House track. The song has been reworked getting a new chorus melody and atypical structure. NEWTOPIA transitions into "EYE2EYE", an '80s Funk-inspired track. The track uses an instrumental I worked on a few years back, "Fatal". It has been altered to fit the song better. "YOU" closes out the project blending '90s House, Future House, and Nu-Jazz into one. Will be exploring different genres for the each volume, with the overarching future space theme.
