Bollington to Macclesfield… and the Great Search for Somewhere to Moor! 🍂 Join us on a canal cruise from Bollington to the outskirts of Macclesfield, where peaceful cruising takes a back seat to a little onboard mayhem! Holly makes the most of the power generated by the boat’s engine, creating some internal boat chaos along the way. Who needs a gym when you’ve got a narrowboat and engine power to contend with? With autumn creeping in, we take a break for a spot of wood hunting, then head to the marina to top up with water. All very civilised… until we discover there’s nowhere to moor! So, onwards we go, in search of that elusive stretch of towpath we can actually call home for the night. The camera, meanwhile, decides to have a little holiday of its own, missing both our unexpected encounter with the canal bottom (yes, we got grounded!) and the beautiful kingfishers that graced us with their presence. Clearly, it prefers a quiet life. Will we find somewhere to moor before we run out of canal, daylight or patience?
