🇮🇹 **DAY 40 & 41 | Saying Goodbye to Lake Como! Exploring Como, Milan & Bergamo ❤️**

Welcome back to *Karl & Anna's Travel Diaries!* 🌍🚢 It's Days 40 and 41 of our incredible 5-month travel adventure, and our time exploring beautiful *Lake Como in northern Italy* is coming to an end! After several wonderful days staying in Menaggio, enjoying the Italian lakes and discovering some stunning villages, it's time to explore a little more before heading towards our next destination. 🇮🇹 📍 *DAY 40 – Exploring Como, Italy* Our final full day at Lake Como took us into the city of Como itself! The weather wasn't quite as sunny as we'd hoped, but that didn't stop us enjoying the city, wandering through its historic streets and admiring the magnificent **Duomo di Como (Como Cathedral)**. We enjoyed a coffee, took in the atmosphere and appreciated our final day in this beautiful part of Italy. ☕❤️ 📍 *DAY 41 – From Lake Como to Milan & Bergamo* Time to pack our bags and get moving again! 🎒 We travelled from Menaggio across Lake Como by ferry to Varenna, where we caught the train into **Milan**, one of Italy's most famous cities! 🏛️ *Duomo di Milano* – We visited Milan's spectacular cathedral, one of the city's most recognisable landmarks and an incredible example of Gothic architecture. 🍝 *Italian food* – We stopped at Pasto for some absolutely delicious pasta. A fantastic way to enjoy our final day in Italy! 🛍️ *Exploring Milan* – With our luggage safely stored, we had time to wander around, explore the shops and experience the atmosphere of this busy Italian city. 🚆 *Onwards to Bergamo* – After a lovely afternoon in Milan, we headed to Bergamo for an overnight stay before our next flight. These two days brought our Lake Como adventure to a close, and what a beautiful place it's been! From the mountains and lakes of Switzerland to the colourful villages of Lake Como and the magnificent architecture of Milan, this part of our European journey has given us some unforgettable memories. ❤️ ✈️ *COMING NEXT:* We're heading back to Bulgaria for some much-needed family time before returning to the UK and preparing for the next big chapter of our adventure! 💬 *We'd love to know:* Have you visited Como or Milan?
