Why Did Humans Actually Start Wearing Clothes?

A button pops off your coat and the repair takes two minutes. But how did people sew before metal needles, spools, and stores? And did the first clothes need a needle at all? In this documentary we follow the evidence: bone tools from Morocco's Contrebandiers Cave, the DNA of clothing lice, bone awls, the first eyed needles in Siberia, and a sewn hide from an Oregon cave. The surprising answer is that the eyed needle may not be how clothing began. What the evidence supports, and what remains unknown, is explained in the video.
