Kaykraft Guitar Repair, part 2: Installing the two-way truss rod

This video shows us fitting the truss rod into the neck of the Kaykraft. Much of the work had already been done by the factory decades earlier, because the steel reinforcing bar was the same width as the truss rod. For the uninformed audience, I tried to explain how the truss rod work to counteract string tension on the neck. The video concludes with a short talk about the condition of the fretboard and the binding that had been around it, explaining why we felt it was best to replace the original pieces.
