Welcome to the world of Elia Learning!
ELIA LEARNING brings you qualified educators for learners learning to speak, write, and understand the English language. Having a good knowledge of grammar allows the learner to communicate their ideas and feelings, and helps them choose the right language for any situation.
Courses will offer key skills in grammar, fluency, pronunciation, creative writing, vocabulary and much more. By the end of the course, the learner will be expected to understand and be able to use all the grammar and punctuation.
Some grammar words, like fronted adverbial and blending, can seem a bit daunting, but the learner will learn to use these types of words automatically from their reading and speaking – the tricky part is being able to recognize them.
At Elia Learning, the learner will learn about how language works by speaking and listening. Listening to a story develops reading skills, builds vocabulary and broadens general knowledge. It also helps to support the learner’s writing skills and understanding of grammar and punctuation.
While learners will learn about how language works from speaking and listening, the type of language we use in writing is often different from that in speech, so listening to text can model different patterns of language.
At Elia Learning, reading regularly to the learner will be an important part of the curriculum in order to help them develop vocabulary and understanding far beyond what they could pick up just from spoken language.
Longer chapter books they might not be able to read themselves yet are especially good for stretching their learning. All this will be imparted to the learner at Elia Learning.
By frequently seeing words in print, they will have the opportunity to see how the punctuation and grammar are used to share meaning.
At Elia Learning, the learner will be encouraged to write. Writing streamlines our thought processes and helps bring clarity. Writing for a real purpose can be a great way to practice using grammar and punctuation. Writing cards, shopping lists, or letters and emails to relatives can all be motivating, real-life reasons to write.
The learner might enjoy keeping a diary or writing short stories based on books they have read.
In your voyage of learning, we hope you will consider joining Elia Learning.
