70+ Mile Nickel Plate Trail Birthday Ride 8/16/2025

Mike, Ed, and I did our late birthday ride on Indiana's Nickel Plate Trail starting in Rochester IN. Eleven Bikin' Brothers joined us at the 9AM start to ride the first fifteen miles with us. After an early lunch at the Farmhouse Cafe in Denver, they headed back while we went on to get our age in miles, plus some. We reached 37 miles SE of Bunker Hill on the new MAC Trail and turned back into a headwind. Other than the wind, it was a perfect day for a 6 hour ride. We reached 75 miles and declared that it was an EPIC ride! Of course, the ice cream at Deangelo's in Denver helped!
