What happens when a mother’s lived experience meets her daughter’s questions about the world we are creating today? In this deeply personal conversation on matriarchy, generational conditioning, equality and parenting, I found myself challenged by my own daughter in ways I hadn't quite anticipated. Why do women automatically assume the role of nurturers? Why do we carry the responsibility for holding families together, instead of sharing it equally with our partners? And somewhere along the journey from being a woman to becoming a mother, does a woman’s identity as a lover, a partner and an individual quietly get pushed aside? These are questions we rarely stop to ask—not because they don't matter, but perhaps because generations have accepted them as the natural order of things. This conversation gave me a glimpse into how younger generations are thinking about relationships, responsibility, equality and what parenting should look like today.
