Despite the conclusion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, serious flaws and technical anomalies continue to plague Karnataka's electoral rolls, sparking widespread concerns across the state. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has acknowledged errors regarding duplicate voter ID entries within the voter lists. Issues such as the same voter's name appearing across multiple constituencies and glaring procedural lapses in the disposal of Form 6 and Form 8 applications have come to light. However, the reluctance of the election authorities to disclose the exact figures of duplicate IDs and take direct accountability for the lapses has raised serious questions over the transparency of the revision process.
