ONE MORE ORDINARY NIGHT – Cathedral of Rock | Official Lyric Video

Sometimes it's not the big moments you miss. It's the ordinary ones you thought you'd have forever. One More Ordinary Night tells the story of a son who never found the right words to say to his father. The conversations that never happened, the things left unsaid, and that one evening he'd give anything to have back. Two cups of coffee. An old pair of work boots by the door. An empty chair. Nothing special, until it's gone. When I started working on this track, I actually had a much darker, emotional rock ballad in mind. But the further I got into the arrangement, the more the music pulled me in a different direction. I ended up keeping the heavy lyrics while giving the music a warmer, more hopeful sound. Rough vocals, powerful guitar riffs, gritty drums and melodies that carry a little light through the sadness. And you know what? I think that contrast works better than what I originally planned. For the music video, I wanted something that felt like an actual story instead of just a collection of random images. A man returning to his father's old house, finding familiar things and remembering everything that made an ordinary day worth remembering. HOW I MADE THIS TRACK I worked on the lyrics, developed the arrangement and shaped the musical direction. I used Suno for AI-assisted sound design and brought the track into Cubase for the final mastering. For the video, I developed the concept, created the visual direction, added effects and edited the scenes into the finished music video. AI-assisted, human-directed. That's how I work, and I'm not hiding it. Now I want to hear from you. Have you ever wished you could have just one more ordinary evening with someone who's no longer around? If this song reminds you of someone, feel free to share your story in the comments. And if that person is still around, maybe give them a call.
