NEW DEWALT Brad Nailer vs the Old Monsters The Difference Is Insane!

DEWALT finally made its cordless brad nailer smaller—and the difference compared to its old cordless “monsters” is insane! In this video, Jim gets hands-on with the NEW DEWALT DCN210B 20V MAX XR 18-gauge cordless brad nailer. We examine its compact design, test its performance, adjust the nail depth, try the firing modes, and compare its size, weight, balance, and maneuverability against DEWALT’s much larger previous-generation cordless nailers. The DEWALT DCN210B can fire up to five nails per second and accepts 18-gauge brad nails from 5/8 inch to 2 inches. It features a 110-nail magazine, tool-free depth adjustment, a precision-point nose, sequential and bump-fire operation, onboard no-mar tip storage, an LED work light, easy jam access, a trigger lock, belt hook, Tool Connect chip compatibility, and a low-nail lockout indicator. We also drive 2-inch brad nails into pine to see how accurately the depth adjustment works and whether the nails finish flush without needing a nail set. Although the older tools shown are 16-gauge finish nailers and the new DCN210B is an 18-gauge brad nailer, the side-by-side comparison clearly shows how far DEWALT’s cordless nailer technology has come. The new model feels dramatically smaller, lighter, better balanced, and easier to maneuver than the old top-heavy designs.
