Saudi Arabia Turns to Israel for Houthi Intelligence as Yemen War Escalates
Saudi-Israel Security Cooperation: Riyadh Under Pressure From the Houthis
52 Saudi Airstrikes? Iran Launches New Jan-Fada Mobilisation Drive
Saudi Oil Crisis Deepens as European Buyers Search for Alternatives
Saudi Arabia is facing a rapidly escalating crisis as its confrontation with the Houthis intensifies and Riyadh reportedly seeks Israeli intelligence assistance through U.S. Central Command.
Regional diplomatic sources cited by the Jerusalem Post say Saudi and Israeli officials held CENTCOM-mediated discussions focused on intelligence assistance against the Houthis. The reported cooperation comes as Houthi forces expand their position around the Bab el-Mandeb and threaten Saudi infrastructure and maritime routes.
Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed that Saudi Arabia carried out 52 airstrikes across Yemen within 24 hours, including attacks on infrastructure. The number and details of the strikes remain a Houthi claim and are not independently verified in full.
Iran is also preparing for a new phase of mobilisation. Reports say the “Jan-Fada” campaign has reopened registration for military and relief training, with preparations underway for 1,000 national resistance battalions. Earlier Iranian claims about the campaign’s registration numbers have been disputed, so those figures should be treated cautiously.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has also challenged Donald Trump over the conflict, arguing that if Washington wants war it should confront Iran directly rather than relying on sanctions and pressure.
At the same time, Saudi Arabia’s economic pressure is becoming increasingly visible. Damage to the East-West pipeline has disrupted the kingdom’s Red Sea export route. Reuters reports that Saudi Arabia has cancelled some September crude cargoes to Europe, while major buyers including Poland’s Orlen are searching for alternative supplies.
In this video, we analyse:

• The growing strategic importance of Bab el-Mandeb and the Red SeaThe bigger question is whether Saudi Arabia can protect its security and oil-export network while facing pressure from the Houthis, Iran and disrupted maritime routes.
