【BGM】RASHOMON ー 羅生門 | The Oni on the Ruined Gate — Japanese Horror Taiko (2 Hours)

2 hours of dark Japanese horror taiko for the oni of Rashōmon — a storm over the old capital, footsteps on the roof of a ruined gate, and then the drums. Sub-bass, storm taiko, a demon's roar and long stretches of rain and creaking timber in between. For training, heavy work, and long nights that need weight. No repeats, no loops, one continuous two-hour set. The rabbit came out in a straw raincoat with one torch, which is not much against an oni. The frog is under the gate with his drum, and he has decided that if anything is going to come down off that roof tonight, it will at least have to come down in time. 👹 About Rashōmon: the great southern gate of Heian-kyō fell into ruin and became a place no one went after dark. The warrior Watanabe no Tsuna is said to have met an oni there on a stormy night and cut off its arm. He locked the arm in a box — and some nights later the oni came back, disguised as his aunt, and asked very kindly to see it. 🐰Artwork inspired by Chōjū-giga, Japan's 12th-century scrolls of frolicking animals — often called the world's oldest manga. 🎵Original music, made with care for this channel. 🔔 A new Ink & Rain video every day — subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/@inkandrainze... === Tracklist === 0:00:00 A Storm Over the Capital 0:01:00 The Rabbit Lights a Torch 0:03:59 Old Beams Creaking 0:06:58 Firelight in the Rain 0:08:30 Nobody Comes Here After Dark 0:11:00 The Ruined Gate 0:13:44 Something on the Roof 0:15:43 Footsteps Above the Gate 0:18:43 Tiles Sliding Off 0:21:03 A Bell Nobody Rang 0:24:22 The Frog Keeps Very Still 0:27:02 Breathing in the Rafters 0:29:49 The Ground Hums 0:32:49 Thunder Answers 0:35:49 It Is Coming Down 0:38:48 Lightning on the Horns 0:41:48 The Gate Shudders 0:44:47 The Storm Drums Begin 0:47:56 Rain Like Arrows 0:48:40 The Frog Starts to Beat 0:50:26 Louder Than the Thunder 0:52:07 The Oni Roars 0:55:07 It Laughs at the Torch 0:58:06 Pounding on the Pillars 1:00:16 The Gate Will Not Hold 1:02:10 Wild Dance in the Rain 1:05:08 Fighting Under the Eaves 1:08:07 Not One Step Back 1:11:07 Claws Through the Rain 1:14:06 The Roof Gives Way 1:17:06 The Second Wave 1:20:05 The Rabbit Draws 1:23:05 The Arm Is Cut 1:26:02 A Curse Shrieked Into the Wind 1:29:06 It Flees Into the Clouds 1:31:30 The Storm Drums Return 1:32:42 Every Drum at the Gate 1:33:15 Thunder and Taiko Together 1:33:56 The Last Strike 1:34:35 Hell Drums 1:37:33 The Storm Breaks 1:40:32 Puddles and Embers 1:43:12 An Arm in a Box 1:45:55 Lock the Gate 1:48:35 No One Sleeps 1:50:43 The Mask in the Rain 1:53:53 Grey Dawn Over the Gate 1:57:17 Mist Where the Oni Stood
