When Healing Doesn't Mean Recovery, But Release

Pain taught me to hold on. Healing taught me to surrender. “Healing Is Loss” is about the part of healing we rarely discuss—the identities, relationships, hopes and versions of ourselves that we must release before we can become whole. Sometimes healing doesn’t return what pain took. Sometimes it teaches us how to stop carrying what was never meant to follow us into the next chapter.
