“Vergil Is Coming For You Guys!” Oscar De La Hoya ERUPTS on Jaron Ennis & Sebastian Fundora! Oscar De La Hoya is making it clear that Vergil Ortiz Jr. is still coming for the biggest names at 154 pounds, especially Jaron “Boots” Ennis and Sebastian Fundora. De La Hoya recently admitted he wanted the Boots fight next, but with Ennis prioritizing the remaining championship belts and Fundora already booked, Golden Boy doesn’t want Vergil sitting on the sidelines waiting. Vergil is now being lined up for a possible Keith Thurman fight on December 12, while the bigger showdowns remain on the table for 2027. Fundora is scheduled to face Ermal Hadribeaj on October 17, and Ennis has openly said his focus is becoming undisputed — meaning Ortiz may have to keep winning until one of those major fights finally comes together.
