Men are smarter than we think. They’re often times one or ten steps ahead of us and it’s not bc they’re smarter it’s bc we underestimate their cruelty. just bc we can’t imagine doing that doesn’t mean they can’t or won’t. One of the most disturbing things survivors of dv, narcissists, and coercive control have in common is understanding on an entirely new level how cruel humans can be. We didn’t know it was possible until we were on the receiving end of it. you can’t unsee it. It’s hard to not see it everywhere after that bc we over correct and project after such a devastating experience. But in general, we can clock these things so fast where people who haven’t experienced it just can’t. Don’t fall victim of a shut up ring , fake proposals, the empty promises, future faking, the gaslighting , the drama. So much drama! Every accusation is a confession.
