Happy belated Halloween from Couple of Cryptids! 👻 This time, Faith Kelly and Caswyn Moon head to Skinner Falls in Narrowsburg, New York, deep in the Upper Delaware River Valley, to investigate local history, explore the rocky riverbanks, and see if we can make contact with the spirits connected to this mysterious part of the Catskills. But there's more to this location than beautiful scenery and rushing water. We came here to learn about the mysterious 18th-century murder of Joseph Skinner, believed to be among the first Europeans murdered in the Upper Delaware River Valley. His disappearance and unsolved death are connected to the early settlement history of the region, and local legends say his restless spirit may still wander the Delaware River Valley seeking justice. As we explored the woods, we uncovered some fascinating connections to the area's colonial history, including early land disputes, mysterious disappearances, and the remains of what may have been an original settlement near the river. And then things started getting strange. Our paranormal investigation included ghost apps, spirit communication, unexplained sounds, mysterious footsteps, possible children's voices, strange messages, and some moments that genuinely made us want to get out of those woods! Some of the messages we received included: "Children playing" "Run now" "You will get possessed" "There are many of us" References to a brook, family, and a mysterious woman Could these messages have anything to do with the history of Joseph Skinner? Or were we simply getting ourselves spooked in the November woods? We also explore the rocky landscape, unusual stone formations, old stone walls, strange trees, and the beautiful rapids of the Delaware River. Along the way, we discuss the area's fascinating timber rafting history and Daniel Skinner, known as the Lord High Admiral of the Delaware, who helped pioneer the transportation of massive pine logs downriver to Philadelphia. Did we stumble into the site of an old colonial settlement? Could the strange activity have a connection to the area's dark past?
