Dr Christina Stanley is a behavioural ecologist researching social behaviour in animals, with a focus on bats. Following her undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and Masters in Behavioural and Evolutionary Ecology from Manchester Metropolitan University, Chrissy carried out her PhD research on semi-feral horse behaviour at the University of Manchester. On becoming a Lecturer at the University of Chester in 2015, Chrissy went on to set up research projects on both captive and wild bats. She is now an Associate Professor at the University of Chester.
Dr Camilla Soravia is a behavioural ecologist researching how human‑induced stressors affect the behaviour and cognition of wild animals. She completed an MSc in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Padova, Italy, followed by a PhD at the University of Western Australia on the effects of heat stress on cognition in wild birds. After working as a postdoctoral researcher in Australia, she joined the University of Chester, where she is a member of the BATMAN research team led by A/Prof. Christina Stanley. Her current research focuses on the behavioural responses of wild bats to light and noise pollution.
