What if the Bible you know is not the whole story?
High in the mountains of Ethiopia, monks have guarded a Bible of 81 books for more than 1,500 years — a Bible that kept the Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees and other writings the rest of the Christian world set aside or lost.
In this 1.5-hour documentary we travel to the ancient kingdom of Aksum, meet Frumentius — the shipwrecked boy who brought Christianity to its royal court — learn the sacred Ge'ez script, open the 81-book canon book by book, look at the Garima Gospels (among the oldest illustrated Gospel books on earth), and climb to the cliff monasteries where these manuscripts survived wars, fires and centuries.
Made for deep listening, quiet evenings, or drifting off to sleep.
