Gunstar Heroes. Joy. This is possibly one of the greatest video game soundtracks ever made, certainly for the Sega Genesis / Megadrive at least. Norio-san was firing on all cylinders to compose a suitable accompaniment for - in 1993 - the most intense console-based platform shoot-em-up to that date. I don't think it would be inaccurate to say Gunstar Heroes beat out many arcade games at the time for sheer complexity, action and fun. Wasn't Seven Force totally mind-blowing at the time?
