Improve your English just by listening — three real conversations at natural speed first, then the ten phrases you just heard. 🎧 Want to actually speak English? Find a real tutor 👉 https://cloudpix.store/tutor (Affiliate link) Half an hour of real English listening practice — two people talking at their normal speed, interrupting each other, using idioms, with every word on the screen. No exercises. No stopping. No going back. This episode is built backwards from our usual one. Three real conversations first, at full speed, and only afterwards do we stop and pick out what you just heard. You meet the English in the wild and you learn it second — which is the order you learnt your first language in, and almost no course does it that way. You are allowed to not understand parts of this. That is not failure. That is the exercise. WHAT THE CONVERSATIONS ARE ABOUT Nora stopped studying Spanish for five months and watched two men argue about rice instead — and then one evening she laughed at a joke before she understood the words. Milo watched the same French film four times on an eleven-hour coach with a broken subtitle button, and by the fourth time the sound had edges. An engineer who took two hours and ten minutes to watch a twenty-minute programme, looked up ninety-one words, remembered six, and hated it. THE PHRASES YOU'LL HEAR (and get to repeat) • It just clicked. — the day it suddenly works, and you can't say why • I didn't understand a word at first. — the same feeling, safely in the past, with an "after" • I put it on in the background. — what it does and, honestly, what it doesn't • I stopped looking everything up. — stop doing vs stop to do, and the three-word rule • I listen to the same thing twice. — the cheapest improvement there is • Ten minutes a day is plenty. — your ear needs frequency, not volume • It's starting to sound normal. — plus sound + adjective vs sound like + noun • I can hear where the words end. — speech has no spaces, and this is the real skill • I got it without translating. — the milestone nobody gives you a certificate for • Trust your ears. — "it just sounds right" is the highest level of language knowledge there is Bonus: Little and often. — the oldest learning advice in English, and it's about plants too. You'll also hear, without stopping for them: picking it up · sink in · switch off · in one ear and out the other · it washes over you ALSO: what to listen to. One rule — if you wouldn't listen to it in your own language, don't listen to it in English. And the honest floor: if you're getting less than about half, you're not learning, you're suffering. Level B1–B2. British English at a natural but unhurried pace. Walk, cook, commute, or fall asleep to it. Then listen to it again. That's the whole homework. Put LISTEN in the comments. New episode every day. #LearnEnglish #EnglishPodcast #EnglishListening #EnglishConversation #ESL #B1English #B2English #ListeningPractice #EnglishEveryDay
