Join us on an unforgettable day exploring one of China's greatest wonders – the Terracotta Army in Xi'an! 🇨🇳🏺 We start the day by booking a guided tour and taking the shuttle to the world-famous Terracotta Army Museum. Despite the huge crowds, seeing thousands of life-sized warriors standing guard after more than 2,000 years was absolutely incredible. We explore all three excavation pits and learn why Pit 2 remains largely untouched as archaeologists wait for better technology to preserve the original colors that were lost during earlier excavations. Next, we visit the beautiful Huaqing Palace and discover the fascinating love story connected to Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei, one of the most famous romances in Chinese history. Back in Xi'an, the adventure continues as the boys and I dress up in traditional Hanfu and head to the Bell Tower at night for a fun family photoshoot. After changing back into our regular clothes, we set out on a mission to find a famous roast duck restaurant. What should have been a simple trip turned into a little adventure! We got lost, struggled to find the place even with an e-rickshaw, and were pleasantly surprised when several locals stopped to help us find the way. The kindness and helpfulness of the people in Xi'an made our evening extra special. Unfortunately, by the time we finally arrived, the restaurant had already closed! 😅 So our family split up for the night—my little one and I ended up enjoying McDonald's, while Aarshabh and Dad explored the bustling night market before calling it a day.
