Kapildhara waterfall is one of the important places in Amarkantak that lies at a distance of 6-7 kilometers from the Narmada Kund. Holy water of Narmada plunges from a height of about 100 feet, from the ground level. This cascade gets its name from the famous sage Kapil, who had undergone penance and performed severe religious austerities. It is Kapil Muni who gave us ‘Sankhya Philosophy’, a dualistic philosophy that seeks to explain the universe by dividing all reality into two fundamental principles ~ Purusha (pure consciousness) and Prakriti (matter/universe). Though the falls can be visited all year round, the best time however remains the months of September to January, the post monsoon period. Kapildhara is the first waterfall after River Narmada originates from Kund. Dudh Dhara is another scenic waterfall. It is the 2nd waterfall on the river Narmada after Kapil Dhara. It is a 10 ft high stream that is extremely white. This waterfall is descending from Kapil Dhara and is about 200 meters away from it. It is believed that being pleased with the penance of Rishi Durbasha, Maa Narmada appeared before him and made him drink milk since then the place got its name as Dudh Dhara. Here is Durbasha cave where he must have meditated. There is also a Shivling in this cave, on which water keeps falling continuously. Durbasha used to consecrate Shiva every day with the Narmada water. Arandi Sangam (Erondi Sangam) is a sacred confluence point of Narmada River and the mythical Arandi River. It is a revered pilgrimage site, particularly associated with performing funeral and ancestral rites (Shraddha Karma). Devotees believe this confluence purifies the soul. The ashram at the site is frequently visited by pilgrims looking to perform rituals for their ancestors. My device - https://www.mi.com/in/product/xiaomi-... Mic- https://amzn.in/d/03fodr3o
