As first generation nursery owners, Matt and his wife Rebecca, along with their two boys, Maddox and Carson, began their plant journey in South Florida, where their fascination with epiphytic plants, especially Tillandsia, took root and flourished. In this video, we tour Matt’s greenhouse and talk about his passion for growing rare plants. You’ll see some of his large anthurium and Thaumatophyllum, hear how he is continuing the lineage of plants started by earlier generations, and learn why he decided to purchase land to expand his growing operation. From air plants and ferns to philodendrons, Thaumatophyllum, and anthurium hybridizing, Drunken Gnome has done it ALL.
"Over the years, we’ve cultivated not only rare and unique species, but also a genuine appreciation for the culture and community that surrounds them. We’re excited to continue sharing our plants, knowledge, and passion with our fellow enthusiasts." -The Drunken Gnome
This video covers:
• Rare aroids and hybridizing anthurium
• Maintaining a greenhouse in Georgia
