LET THE GARDENS COVER ME 🌿🏰☁️ “Let The Gardens Cover Me” is inspired by Castle in the Sky and my own darker interpretation of Laputa and its story. What fascinated me was the idea of this incredibly powerful place, once built and used by humans, eventually being abandoned. With no one left to command it, nature slowly takes over. The weapons go silent. Trees and gardens grow through the ruins. Birds make it their home. For perhaps the first time, Laputa is at peace. Then humans find it again. My take on the song is from the perspective of the castle itself. It remembers what humanity once made it into, and when people return searching for its power, Laputa doesn't want to become that thing again. It finally learned what peace was. It finally became something beautiful.
