‎GREEN HILL WATER CRISIS: RESIDENTS CRY FOR HELP ‎ ‎In Cape Coast, the water crisis is becoming a serious concern for residents in some communities, and Green Hill is one of them. ‎ ‎For the past three to four months, residents say they have been struggling to get access to water. What should be a basic necessity has now become a daily challenge for families. ‎ ‎Some residents say the situation has become so difficult that they are forced to use the little water available for multiple purposes. In some homes, water used for bathing is reportedly being reused to flush toilets. ‎ ‎For mothers and elderly residents, the situation is even more difficult. Getting enough water for bathing, washing clothes and other household activities has become a major challenge. ‎ ‎And the children are also suffering. ‎ ‎Some parents say their children struggle to get water to wash their school uniforms. In some cases, children are reportedly staying home because there is not enough water for them to properly bathe and prepare for school. ‎ ‎Some children are also carrying heavy buckets and travelling up the hills in search of water. Imagine the burden placed on a child who should be preparing for school but instead has to spend part of the day searching for water. ‎ ‎Residents believe there may be a technical problem affecting the flow of water into the community, and they are calling on the Ghana Water Company and the relevant authorities to urgently investigate the situation, identify the problem and restore a reliable water supply. ‎ ‎This is not simply about inconvenience. Water is life. ‎ ‎Hot Case Editorial is therefore calling on the authorities and the Ghana Water Company to wake up to the concerns of the people of Green Hill. The community deserves to know what is causing the interruption and when residents can expect a lasting solution. ‎ ‎We cannot allow families, elderly people and children to continue struggling for such a basic necessity. ‎ ‎Green Hill needs water. Cape Coast needs attention. ‎ ‎This is Hot Case Editorial, speaking for the community and bringing the concerns of residents to the attention of those responsible. ‎ ‎Water is life. Cape Coast deserves better. ‎ ‎
