I Finished My First HYROX - What I Learned as an Amateur Athlete | HYROX Brisbane 2025

I am officially a HYROX Open finisher! After less than six weeks of training, I took on HYROX Brisbane 2025 - and it was a brutal but incredible experience. (Apologies for the windy audio quality – I just had to record this ASAP!) At the start of the year, I was nowhere near race-ready. On January 1st, I barely survived a Zone 2 run. Fast forward less than two months, and I crossed the HYROX finish line. The event pushed me beyond my limits, especially when cramping hit, and it became 100% mental. My final time was 1:46:15.
