In this video, join our family for another authentic day of Karamojong village life, filled with hard work, family, survival skills, and togetherness. Our eldest sister Nyangan Rakel sets off with the children to fetch water from a borehole about a kilometer from home. At the borehole, Eliana gets help from her friend while bathing, as the children work together to collect the water needed for the family. But there’s a twist… 😯 The water doesn’t flow easily! The children believe a prayer or traditional ritual is needed before the water can come. 🙏🏾 Back home, the children prepare a simple but delicious meal of maize flour, eggplant (urbagine), and sardines while Grandma Moru Maria continues working on the traditional local fence.
