HD Kumaraswamy On Sugarcane Farmers Protest | ಕಬ್ಬು ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಟನ್‌ಗೆ ₹750 ಕೊಡಲೇಬೇಕು.. HDK ಪಟ್ಟು

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy has strongly criticised the Karnataka government over the ongoing sugarcane farmers' agitation and demanded a minimum additional payment of ₹750 per tonne to sugarcane growers. He questioned the outcome of the meetings held by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with sugar factory owners and farmers in Belagavi, saying the discussions had produced no meaningful result. HD Kumaraswamy Demands ₹750 Per Tonne for Sugarcane Farmers, arguing that the state government must take responsibility for ensuring a fair price. Citing Tamil Nadu as an example, he claimed that farmers there receive an additional ₹700 per tonne through government support. He said Karnataka should provide at least ₹750 per tonne, either directly or by making sugar factory owners pay. Kumaraswamy also criticised the financial position of sugar factory owners, contrasting their prosperity with the struggles faced by farmers. He said the government cannot shift responsibility to the Centre and must act on the demands raised by sugarcane growers. HD Kumaraswamy Demands ₹750 Per Tonne for Sugarcane Farmers while also questioning the allocation of public funds under the Congress government's Bharat Jodo-related programme. He alleged that public money was being spent to benefit party workers instead of addressing people's needs. These remarks are his political allegations. HD Kumaraswamy Demands ₹750 Per Tonne for Sugarcane Farmers and urges the state government to use public funds responsibly.
