This is the third and final video showing the repair of a friends riding mower. Think I did something wrong? Please comment and let me know. Also please consider clicking the like button as it will help the channel greatly. Breakdown: Was it worth it? Financially...no. Briggs and Stratton definitely is not interested in people fixing these motors. The parts are either unavailable or cost prohibitive. There is no way this makes sense for someone to pay a shop to do. Using OEM parts the cost would exceed a new engine EVEN BEFORE LABOR!! On the other hand....if you have the time and inclination....well then maybe. However, keep in mind that this engine lasted almost twenty years, and the oil was in bad shape. More frequent oil changes with correct viscosity oil would have lengthened the motors life. Still....not a bad run. Engines cost less in 2007. So if the mower cost $1500 in 2007....that comes to about $85/year and a couple of hours a week to keep the grass cut. Thanks for watching!
