Three times a day, somewhere, a bell still goes🔔🌾 Morning, noon and evening — and for a moment an entire village used to stop in the street, put the basket down, and say five old words that a girl once said in a small house. Hardly anyone hears that bell now. Most of us take the day to bed with us and turn it over until two in the morning. This hour of hymns is meant to do what the bell did: come from outside you and tell you that you are allowed to stop. Put it on while you cook, while you close up the house, while you eat without the phone.
