Debussy — Clair de Lune | Every Note Comes to Light

Debussy's Clair de Lune as animated sheet music: follow every moonlit note as it glows. The third movement of Debussy's Suite bergamasque, begun around 1890 and revised for its publication in 1905, takes its title from Verlaine's poem of moonlit masqueraders. Marked Andante très expressif and tempo rubato, it drifts from veiled, pianissimo thirds through a flowing, rippling middle section to a luminous climax, and fades away "morendo jusqu'à la fin".
