Barnston Lodge Wedding Video | Ellie and Toby Shot on location at Barnston Lodge, Essex – September 2026 – Ellie and Toby’s Barnston Lodge wedding at the start of September was one of those days where there seemed to be something happening everywhere you looked. It started before we even got to the ceremony. Ellie, Toby, their wedding party and both families had all stayed together the night before in one enormous Air BnB. They did their best to keep to separate floors while everyone got ready, but having the whole wedding party under one roof created a brilliant atmosphere from the moment I arrived. Normally, bridal prep and groom prep happen in completely different places, often miles apart. Here, I could move between both and get a real sense of the different energies building on each floor. Lots of excitement, plenty of noise, people constantly appearing in corridors, boys struggling to get dressed.......a slightly chaotic feeling but an amazing energy. From there, everyone made their way to St Andrew’s Church, directly opposite Barnston Lodge and if I'm honest, it's tiny.....or maybe "intimate and full of atmosphere" is a better description! Once Ellie and Toby were married, the day took another turn. Rather than heading straight to the reception by car, they walked. A brass band led the way, with Ellie and Toby immediately behind them, followed by all their friends and family for the short walk down the lane to Barnston Lodge. It was brilliant. Five minutes of music, sunshine and a newly married couple leading everyone towards the party. Exactly the kind of moment that makes a wedding feel totally unique. By the time everyone arrived at Barnston Lodge, the weather was perfect. Guests spilled out onto the lawn, drinks started flowing, and the whole afternoon had that relaxed late-summer feel that works so well at a venue like Barnston Lodge. Ellie and Toby are two incredibly vibrant people. Upbeat, affectionate, funny, completely at ease with themselves and each other, and very obviously thrilled to be getting married. That energy spread through the whole wedding party and into every part of the day. Their tone was infectious. Their Barnston Lodge wedding was full of movement and personality. A packed little church, a brass band parade, drinks on the lawn, a tipi full of people ready to party, and a couple who seemed to enjoy absolutely every second. What a day!
