The goal of this video is to improve your listening skills and help you get more comfortable with how native speakers sound in the USA. You do NOT have to speak like this yourself. Learning connected speech will definitely help you sound more natural in English, but the examples in this video are VERY fast. If you have a strong accent, I don't recommend trying to speak this quickly as it will interfere with your intelligibility (people won't understand you!). First, work to improve your pronunciation. As you gain more control of your vocal apparatus (tongue, vocal chords, lips, etc.), you will be able to speak FASTER while maintaining your CLARITY.
