How-to: Install a Moroso Pan Evac Kit (Crankcase Evacuation System on a C10)

In this video I show how to install a Moroso pan evacuation kit on my C10. A pan evac (crankcase evacuation system) uses exhaust flow to create vacuum in the crankcase, helping reduce pressure, improve ring seal, and control oil leaks in performance applications. I walk through the complete install process including: • Where to weld the evac tubes in the exhaust • Proper tube angle and placement • Check valve orientation • Valve cover routing • Common mistakes to avoid • Why crankcase vacuum matters on high performance engines This setup is commonly used on big block Chevy, small block Chevy, and nitrous-assisted combinations where crankcase pressure becomes an issue. If you’re running a high compression or nitrous setup in a C10 or squarebody truck, this mod can make a noticeable difference in engine efficiency and oil control. I also removed the exhaust and installed a set of 18" collector extensions. the Moroso pan evac system is a great crankcase evacuation system for the budget minded racer.
