Gameplay focuses on forward momentum and precision combat. Starting with only a knife, you must defeat enemy troops, avoid traps, and survive relentless attacks while pushing through locations such as missile bases, harbours, bridges, and prison camps. Additional weapons including grenades, bazookas, and flamethrowers provide brief power boosts, but timing and positioning remain critical throughout. The Commodore 64 version delivers confident scrolling and tightly tuned enemy patterns that keep the pressure high. Martin Galway’s powerful soundtrack adds urgency and atmosphere, driving the action forward and standing out as one of the game’s most memorable elements. Challenging and unforgiving, Green Beret earned its reputation through responsive controls and intense pacing. It remains a respected entry in the C64 action catalogue and a strong home conversion of Konami’s arcade original. 💬 How far did you make before the difficulty pushed back? ▶️ PLAYLISTS Konami:    • Konami Games – Legendary Arcade & Action C...   Imagine Software:    • Imagine Software – Legendary Arcade & Acti...   Shoot ’Em Ups:    • Shoot 'Em Ups – Scrolling Blasters & Bulle...   Hit Squad:    • The Hit Squad – Commodore 64 & Amiga Budge...   💙 SUPPORT & CONNECT Patreon:   / cheekycommodoregamer   Join:    / @cheekycommodoregamer   Twitter:   / cheekyc64gamer   Facebook:   / cheekycommodoregamer   Discord:   / discord   Website: https://www.cheekycommodoregamer.co.uk #greenberet #commodore64 #konami #imagine #martingalway
