From Manggarai, I take the Kota Tua train line and get off at Juanda Train Station. I explore the area around Juanda and stop for some ice cream for a while to take a break. After that, I continue exploring the Pasar Baru neighborhood. From Pasar Baru, I walk to Pos Bloc Jakarta, one of Jakarta’s historic buildings from the colonial era. Today, the area is filled with many cafés, restaurants, and creative spaces. After exploring Pos Bloc, I stop for lunch at a local warteg, where I have some fish and enjoy a simple Indonesian meal. Then, I make my way to Jakarta Cathedral. The area around the cathedral is beautiful, peaceful, and calm. I explore the cathedral grounds before going inside, where I spend some time praying. After that, I visit the museum located inside the cathedral. There is also a special place for prayer, and I join the prayer for a while before continuing my journey. Next, I make my way to Lapangan Banteng. I stop to try mango juice while enjoying a panoramic view of the park and its monument. Then, I explore the gardens, trees, and flowers around Lapangan Banteng. After that, I visit the Jakarta Flona Festival, also known as Pameran Flona 2026 Jakarta. It’s a large flower and plant exhibition, and there are also beautifully decorated villages representing different ethnic groups and cultures from across Indonesia. While exploring the festival, I try es durian for the second time. After spending some time at Flona, I decide to head back home. I take a Grab ride, and after about 20 minutes, I arrive back at Tanah Abang Train Station , bringing my day of exploring Jakarta to an end Jakarta Cathedral Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption is officially called Gereja Santa Maria Diangkat ke Surga (Church of Our Lady of the Assumption). 📍 It is in Central Jakarta, on Jl.
