Rover P4 splash panel Repairs & Fire

A bit of progress with repairs on my Rover P4. You can sometimes come to a repair section which somehow you can't quite get your head around.....and that's what I've encountered a repair section with, to me, an awkward profile. Any advice would be most appreciated.....I have sort of figured out a way to repair the section but is a bit long winded..... Ohh and I had a bit of a fire in the car.........no damage though
