As the 20th Asian Games continue in Aichi–Nagoya, Japan, here is the Asian Games 2026 medal tally and country rankings for October 3, 2026 (Day 14), based on the standings at 3:30 PM JST.
The medal race is entering its final stages, and Day 14 has already been action-packed, with major medal hauls and significant developments across the standings. China remains firmly at the top with 165 gold medals and 322 medals overall, followed by Japan with 74 gold and 247 medals. South Korea remains 3rd with 35 gold and 141 medals, while Uzbekistan continues in 4th with 20 gold and 65 medals.
India continues its remarkable rise in the standings, moving from 8th in the earlier stages of the competition to 5th with 18 gold, 26 silver and 36 bronze medals for a total of 80. Thailand has also made a strong push and now sits 6th with 17 gold and 50 medals, while Iran follows in 7th. Kazakhstan remains 8th with 12 gold and 79 medals, while Bahrain and Hong Kong complete the top 10.
East Asia continues to dominate the upper end of the medal table, with China, Japan and South Korea occupying the top three positions. Hong Kong has also made a notable move, reaching 10 gold medals and 52 medals overall, while Chinese Taipei has climbed to 14th with 5 gold, 17 silver and 32 bronze medals.
Central Asia remains strongly represented through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, with Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan also on the medal table. Uzbekistan continues to hold 4th place, while Kazakhstan has reached 79 medals and remains involved in the close competition around the top 10.
In Southeast Asia (SEA/ASEAN), Thailand leads the region and has strengthened its position with 17 gold medals and 50 medals overall. Malaysia remains close behind with 9 gold and 30 medals, followed by Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Brunei. Singapore has also increased its medal tally to 18 overall.
West Asia continues to have a notable presence through Iran and Bahrain, while Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Oman and the UAE are also represented. Iran remains 7th, while several West Asian nations continue to compete through the middle and lower sections of the standings.
In South Asia, India remains the standout nation and has continued its impressive climb as the Games progress. From 8th place in the earlier stages of the competition, India has now reached 5th and crossed the 80-medal mark, with 18 gold medals. Sri Lanka remains on one gold and one silver, while Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh continue to be represented in the standings.
With the Asian Games now approaching the final stages, the competition is becoming increasingly close in several parts of the medal table. Countries are separated by only a few gold medals in a number of positions, meaning even a small medal haul can result in significant changes in the rankings.
There is still plenty of action to come on Day 14, with more gold-medal events scheduled throughout the day. The standings could therefore change considerably before the competitions conclude.
Stay tuned for the end-of-day update to see how the remaining events reshape the Asian Games 2026 medal tally and country rankings as the Games move closer to the finish.
