From the bones of Rome he builds the Beast, scarlet, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its back rides the Woman on the waters in purple, scarlet and gold, drunk on the blood of the saints. Seven hills, seven kings: five have fallen, one is. Ten kings give the Beast their crowns for one dark hour, turn on the scarlet woman and burn her down, then make war against the Lamb.
